CCP Update: Care Enough to Share – Your Opinions, That Is!

Take 10 minutes, help shape the future of your community and enjoy an opportunity to win great prizes! How’s that for an offer? The next major phase of our Comprehensive Community Planning work is a community-wide survey. This is an opportunity for Band members to have a say in planning for the Nation’s future.

There are actually two surveys: one for adults age 18 and older and one for youths age 12 – 17. The surveys are a combination of census (information about members, such as age and employment status) and opinion (what do you think are the top priorities for the Nation in the next three to five years?).

While work has taken place in meetings with groups of various sizes, this is our single best opportunity to engage with every member age 12 and older. Responses will give the Nation a snapshot of how members feel the community is doing right now and feedback about how best we can plan for the future.

In addition to contributing to this important work, survey respondents will have an opportunity to win prizes that include two iPads (valued at approximately $500 each) and gift certificates to Tim Horton’s, Walmart and our own Wei Wai Kum House of Treasures. The surveys will be open through December, however we will be offering early bird prizes, so don’t wait to participate!
