Quick responses to our email and Facebook survey invitations have netted six Band members $10 gift certificates to Tim Horton’s.
Shelley Henderson and Sheryl Goff were the first two members to respond to last week’s email invitation to fill in the survey, while Lillian Vachon and Jerry D’Aoust were the speediest at completing the survey via the link posted on the Band’s Facebook page (Campbell River Indian Band Registered Members). Meanwhile, Cheyanne Drake and Emoni Bush won gift certificates for being the first two youth to fill in the youth survey (for Band members age 12 to 17).
The community survey is a combination of survey and census. It’s part of the Nation’s Comprehensive Community Planning (CCP) work and it aims to give as many Band members as possible an opportunity to participate in planning for the Nation’s future.
In addition to contributing to this important work, survey respondents have an opportunity to win prizes that include gift certificates to Tim Horton’s, Walmart and our own Wei Wai Kum House of Treasures. Early bird prize winners remain eligible for the grand prizes of two iPads (valued at approximately $600 each), so don’t wait to participate!
Don’t have online access? The survey may also be filled out at the Band Office (either online at our work station or by filling out a print form). If you’re coming to pick up your Social Assistance cheque (Dec. 20) or your school allowance (Dec. 19, 20 and 21), plan to take a few minutes to fill out a survey.
We will also be conducting outreach activities that will help ensure we get responses from as many members as possible.
