At this week’s Annual General Meeting, the Wei Wai Kum Band Council announced that a distribution payment of $350 will be made to each Band member next month.
Dates for pick-up from the Band office are Wednesday, Thursday and Friday December 6, 7 and 8, between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. All other cheques will be mailed out Dec. 11 unless a member requests an earlier payment.
Members are asked to update their addresses if they have moved in the past 12 months. To authorize another person to pick up your cheque, provide written authorization in advance or email reception@weiwaikum.ca
Parents generally receive the distribution payments for their children who are age 17 or younger. Custody documents or other agreements between parents need to be provided in order for cheques to be payable to appropriate persons for minor band members.
