BC Hydro announced this week that it is launching a Customer Crisis Fund. This is a three-year pilot program that is available to all residential BC Hydro customers who are experiencing a temporary financial crisis and are at risk of disconnection of their electricity service due to unpaid BC Hydro bills.
Eligible customers may apply for the Customer Crisis Fund once every 12 months to receive a grant of up to $600 ($500 if the primary heating source of the home is not electric) towards their outstanding BC Hydro bill.
