Declarations: In order for your file to remain OPEN, please provide all necessary paperwork, work search forms, and monthly renewal declarations before the 15th of each month. Please ensure that you declare all your earned/unearned income each month to prevent delays in issuing your cheque.
Clients must completely fill in each field including Band Name, Band Number, Signature of applicant/spouse and the full date (date, month & year). If this is not completed, the form is invalid and a cheque cannot be created.

Bills: You need to bring your Hydro, Fortis and Landline Phone bills on a monthly basis unless on EPP, (you must include entire bill showing monthly consumption, as this is what determines your monthly entitlement). Please note (Income Assistance is not responsible for any past due amounts).
Occupancy: Please let your worker know if someone moves in or out, this effects your bills on a monthly basis. You will need to fill out a new occupancy form only if there are any changes.
Annual Reviews: Letters will be sent to clients for Annual Reviews, PPMB updates. Once you receive them, please contact the Social Development Department to book your appointment to review your file to remain eligible.
Pensioners (65+): Please let your worker know when you will be turning 65 years of age. This affects your Income Assistance.
Taxes: Please do your taxes every year. IA will need a copy of your “notice of Assessments/ BCFB Notices for file.
Reminder that Home Support timesheets need to be submitted by the last Monday of every month. Cheques will be issued within 3 days of submission.
