Want to Work for BC Parks

The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change Strategy has created the new Youth Employment Program to provide youth with employment opportunities for a 4-month term.

The applications for these BC Parks Student Rangers positions located in Parksville, North Vancouver, Vernon and Prince George are open now. This posting closes on September 7th.

Student Rangers can expect to work on field-based projects in the areas of recreation, conservation, public outreach, and Indigenous relations.

In addition to the Student Ranger positions, BC Parks will also be running an office-based Intern Program with positions based out of Victoria, Terrace and Smithers. Applications for this program will be posted sometime in the upcoming weeks.

Depending on their placement, a BC Parks Intern will work in the Conservation, Indigenous Relations, Community Engagement and Education, Marketing and Web Information, Planning and Land Administration, Facilities and Campground expansion or Recreation Policy Section.

Youth will have the exciting opportunity to grow their skills and experiences and can find out if a career within the natural resource and outdoor sector might be interesting to them.
