Youth Summer Activities – Aug. 3 – 10

Youth activities are getting underway this week under the leadership of the Band’s new Youth Worker, Jessica Rhodes. Parents, please ensure a Youth Activity Permission Form is completed. Only one is needed for the season.

For every day of activities, please ensure the youth bring a few light snacks as well as a water bottle. Note, there will not be any activities on Monday, Aug. 6, which is the B.C. Day holiday.

Aug. 3 (morning): Outdoor Water Tag

Fun-filled day with tag and water balloons!
What to bring: Running shoes, swimsuit
Ages: 6-9
Time: 10 a.m. – 12 noon
Limit: 12 Kids
Drop-off/pick-up at Thunderbird Hall

Aug. 3 (afternoon): Hall Activities

Drop-in for your choice of indoor sports! No sign-up needed.
What to bring: Running shoes
Ages: All
Time: 1 – 4 p.m.
Drop-off/pick-up at Thunderbird Hall

August 7: River Day

Come for a walk down by the river to swim in the sun!
What to Bring: Towel, sunscreen, bathing suit
Ages: 9-16
Time: noon – 4 p.m.
Limit: 10 Kids

Aug. 8: Spit Activities

Swimming and collecting treasures down by the ocean!
What to bring: towel, sunscreen, and bathing suit
Ages: 6-16
Time: noon – 4 p.m.
Limit: 12 Kids
Drop-off/pick-up at the spit, by the Carving Shed

Aug. 9: Beach Craft Day

Arts and Crafts utilizing treasures found from the beach!
Ages: 6-16
Time: noon – 4 p.m.
Limit: 12 Kids
Drop-off/pick-up: Thunderbird Hall

Aug. 10: Outdoor Soccer (Split age groups)

Lace up for a fun day of soccer at the field!
What to bring: Proper footwear, sunscreen
Ages: 4-8       Time: 10 a.m. – noon
Ages 9-14       Time: 1 p.m. – 3 p.m.
